hosting.

AS I have become more and more active in the church, I have been hosting more and more frequently.  Hosting is hard work.  I have to windex the decorative apothecary jar and suck Molly's hair out of every wayward corner of the house.  Until very recently I would watch my mother and father vacuum and scrub at 10 pm after guests with bewilderment.  As I caught myself vacuuming and scrubbing after my lastest hosting gig I realized... the apple did not fall far from the tree.

When Nick invited people over briefly on Saturday morning I almost lost it.  The couch was hairy.  There was a pair of flip flops left willy nilly in a corner.  I shot Nick with laser beams from my eyeballs.
I WILL clean this house!
Now I must host again on Wednesday.  Thankfully I was warned and thus able to "pre-dust."  Weird that such issues didn't come out until California... and you would think that I'd be an obsessive hand washer too (but I am NOT).

Love, Kaley

Maybe I need to come to California. I just look at the dust on my dresser, shrug my shoulders and keep walking.
