Twice in the past two days I have been scared silly by a little anole lizard. (no I didn't misspell a-hole. an anole is a type of lizard!) I'm not used to lizards being outside. Marshall, my broseph, had a pet anole named Murray. I once picked that lizard up by his tail and it fell clean off. Mostly I'm scared it will jump on me. I scream and it screams and then we run away from each other.
Here is Murray's cousin Merl.
There were two lizards, when I went inside to get the camera I couldn't find the other.
It was because he changed colors to brown. This lizard is going to do much better when it comes to getting a mate. Because he's smarter. Duh. He's so smart he wouldn't begin a sentence with Because.

with frizzy hair! |
Then of course there are the geese that frequently cross the road. They live in the pond near the entrance to my neighborhood. When you beep at them they just roll their geese eyes and give you the feather.
Here is the red shouldered hawk that Owen and I saw on our walk. He stayed there, I believe, because he wanted me to go away so he could eat whatever rodent or lizard he had just caught.
So many critters y'all.
