One of my favorite students gifted me this heart sock monkey. I love it because I love having him in my class. I know that though I hear "I wanna take a ride on your disco stick" being sung in the back of the classroom and see someone intentionally falling out of their chair for a laugh, despite all this and above the din I will see him with his little hands folded looking at me remorsefully, as if embarrassed by his fellow students. I kind of hope he becomes the president.
