What was I saying?

I do stupid things a lot.  I run into buses.  I forget to add ingredients to recipes.  I forget to do menial tasks like check email or read updates.  Putting on deodorant?  There's a 30% chance I will forget to do this.  Forget about saying the time right.  I even forget what I just said.

For example, I put it to the class, "Was there something fishy about the City of Ember?", to which one student said "I don't smell any fish." 

I responded,"Why are you talking about fish?"  And I'm talking totally baffled as to why she was referencing fish.  Someone had to remind me that I had said fishy, of which I had no recollection.

I guess what I'm trying to say is... would this be more socially acceptable if I were blonde?  When you're brunette you just seem brain dead and embarrassing.
