Who is your favorite Harry Potter character?
Honestly my favorite character is Harry. Harry James Potter. Brave, loving, loyal, angry, socially impaired Harry Potter. He lived in a cupboard under the stairs people! Though, he doesn't count. Everyone loves Harry. It has to be another character.
I would also be tempted to say Dobby.
"Dobby has heard of your greatness, sir, but of your goodness, Dobby never knew..."
It could be his tendency to speak in the third person, his unswerving devotion to Harry, his resistance to the dark arts, his love of socks, saving Harry as his last act... Good old Dobby. They should have kept him in the movies.
Oh, but then there is... Dumbledore. Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. He says so many deliciously wonderful things. And that back story? Perfection. His manners counteracted with his humor and raw power? Ingenious.
"It's our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."
He was also the most misrepresented character in the movie franchise. It pains me that the actor and producers let the movie Dumbledore be some sort of power hungry diva wizard who was forever pissed. The real Dumbledore is still alive, in my imagination!
So tell me - who is your favorite HP character?

Molly Weasley, but you knew that.
Dumbledore, Fred and George, Ginny.
Oh man I love Harry Potter. Love, love love.
My favorite? Hermione, because I sort of am her. Right down to the nerdiness and bushy hair.
1. When you have kids, please decorate their rooms with these amazing illustrations. I adore them.
2. Favorite: it's so, so hard because I think I could pick all the Weasley's. I just love their family. Most of my favorite parts of the books involve one (or more of them)
Also, love Luna so much. She's perfectly crazy and such a great friend.
Harry, of course, is a given.
But it's those darn Weasley's I just can't get enough of. I could read a whole other spin-off series just about them.
Oh, and Snape. Oh, I've always loved him. He delightfully bad and yet I just knew that he was "good" the whole time. This decision could also be because of my love of the actor who plays him in the movies to perfection.
I'm such a nerd. I could talk about this for hours....
oh my gosh...I love Sirius Black. Why? His struggle to be understood and vindicated. I love that Harry has a glimpse of a family in Sirius and I think that him realizing that Sirius did not in fact kill his parents also helps him to reconcile with Snape in the last book.
I have to agree with April though. I love the Weasley's but It hink that's just because they have red hair.
